Viking Cats’ ‘Little Mermaid’ Cat Show
Viking Cats is a proud member of the International Cat Association, and on Saturday and Sunday will host a cat show that celebrates its Danish pride with a ‘Little Mermaid’ theme. That’s right – over 100 cats pampered and dressed to the theme of HCA’s classic fairytale, and cash prizes for best costumes are sure to incentivise a spectacle of species-clash. If you’ve got a furball at home you think can out-mermaid the rest, registration starts (one cat, one day) at 300 kr.

Blam!
Suspend disbelief – and gravity – for the return of one of the most high-octane performances you’ll ever see. Blam! is back with a bigger ensemble and better story, making this the best-yet tale of death-defying stunts and thrills. The production is set in an office where the monotony of work life is pumped full of adrenaline with stunts, parkour, dance, acrobatics, mime and slapstick. And the actor’s don’t hold back, pushing their bodies to the limit without saying a word for the entire show.

La Bayadère
Choreographed by a 19th century French ballet connoisseur, Marius Pepita, and converted to the Danish stage by the artistic director of the Royal Danish Ballet, Nikolaj Hübbe, La Bayadère is set in the late 1800s when British colonialism was at its peak. The story centres around a love triangle involving a young British lieutenant, his well-to-do bride and the bayadère, a ‘temple dancer’. The scene when the officer enters the Kingdom of the Shades features an ensemble of 32 temple dancers and is considered on par with some of the greatest scenes in Swan Lake.

Christmas Tables
Christmas is still weeks away, but with the cold weather – and release of Tuborg’s Christmas beer – comes a certain feeling of hygge that is quintessential to the Christmas season. And just as quintessential is the Christmas Tables exhibition at Royal Copenhagen. A tradition that dates back to 1963, this exhibition features six tables that each have a unique story to tell. See the fantastically creative display,s and don’t forget to pop into the Royal Café for some traditional treats and a steaming cup of glögg.
